Lock Pon Stop Custom Design & Ownership Policy
At Lock Pon Stop, every custom board is designed specifically for each client. This policy explains our design process, ownership of artwork, revisions, exclusivity, and what to expect when commissioning a custom board.
Custom Concept Design Package
Custom board concepts begin with a $100 Custom Concept Design Package.
This includes:
- One original design concept based on your requested theme.
- One round of design revisions.
- A final quote for the completed custom board.
If you move forward with purchasing your custom board, the full $100 design fee will be credited toward the final purchase price.
The design fee compensates for the time spent creating original artwork and concepts and is non-refundable once design work has begun.
Custom Board Pricing
Every custom project is unique.
Final pricing depends on factors such as:
- Level of customization
- Theme complexity
- Color changes
- Custom icons
- Custom lettering
- Additional design work
An estimated price range will be provided before design work begins.
Design Ownership
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all artwork, concepts, layouts, files, and designs created by Lock Pon Stop remain the intellectual property of Lock Pon Stop.
Purchasing a custom board does not transfer ownership of the underlying artwork or design.
Future Use of Designs
Lock Pon Stop reserves the right to:
- reuse designs
- modify designs
- improve designs
- adapt designs
- offer similar designs for future products or collections
unless a separate written exclusivity agreement has been purchased.
Exclusive Designs
Customers who require exclusive ownership of a completed design may request a separate exclusivity agreement.
Exclusive rights are negotiated individually and are not included with standard custom design services.
Exclusive agreements may require a significant additional licensing fee depending on the scope of exclusivity requested.
Purchasing a custom board does not include exclusive rights to the artwork or design.
Customer Ideas
Customer ideas, themes, inspiration, or general concepts are welcome and often help guide the design process.
Customers may provide ideas, themes, inspiration, references, or general concepts. These are used as creative direction only and do not transfer ownership of the finished artwork or design.
The final design, artistic interpretation, layout, and execution remain the work of Lock Pon Stop unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Design Timeline
Concept designs are typically delivered within 5–7 business days after payment has been received.
Complex projects may require additional time.
Revision Policy
Each Custom Concept Design Package includes:
- One initial concept
- One revision
Additional revisions may incur additional design fees.
Right to Decline
Lock Pon Stop reserves the right to decline any custom project at its sole discretion before design work begins.
Payment
Custom design work begins only after payment for the Custom Concept Design Package has been received.
Design work will not begin until payment has cleared.
Communication
To ensure the best results, customers should provide as much detail as possible regarding their requested theme, colors, text, symbols, or inspiration before design work begins.
